Make-up...?

So one of my little hobbies is doing some make up. I will write more later but here are some picts of makeup I did today for my sis's prom.

Being successful at doing make-up can be achieved by anyone, as long as you follow some easy steps.
1. Be calm, and have confidence. - steady hands are a must. Anyone can be successful with practice and patients.
2. Be generous - Like artwork, applying make up is a step by step process. Always apply A LOT more than you would like with the finished product. Overdoing it is a good thing...because once you blend the colors will fade.
3. Be prepared - The Internet is a great resource to print photo's of ideas for color schemes and other ideas. It is always easier to follow an example.
4. Have the proper tools - Sometimes you might have to splurge a little go get the look you are going for. Thank the lord for urban decay. I feel they have the best products when it comes to eye shadows and primers. Their primers are a MUST for all makeup enthusiasts. They can make any brand of eyeshadow blend well and last longer. This primer also intensifies the colors! So worth 16 dollars! http://www.urbandecay.com/
Also it is good to keep proper brushes on hand. Ecotools has nice, affordable, and are nature friendly products that are usually available at drug stores. http://www.ecotools.com/

Besides those products I used the following for the design above...
  • Lash stilettos liquid liner http://www.maybelline.com/
  • Loreal Telescopic original mascara
  • Urban decay FREELOVE, UZI, SIN, and GUNMETAL colored eye shadows
  • Urban decay ZERO colored glide-on eye pencil
I really enjoy all the above products and highly recommend all of them. I literally should work for Urban decay because i continuously promote their products lol. So worth the extra buck. If you like nudes and want to try out Urban Decay try the naked palette. I absolutely love it! Message me if you'd like any additional tips!

Can you trust your sources...?

Hello all!
There are so many people out there who give out inaccurate nutrition information. Anyone who might be interested in nutrition supplementation might have wondered into their neighborhood GNC, Vitamin World, or drug store. First let me add that the best source of vitamins and minerals is from a healthy, balanced diet. But there are some instances where supplementation is necessary. So I will share my personal story with my run in with a so called "Nutrition Expert".

I was cutting back some calories to help lose some weight as well as upping my usual work out routine. I knew that by cutting out some calories I would be at risk of cutting out some nutrients, as well as potential energy sources. I decided to go to GNC to get a multivitamin as well as some good old Omega-3 (my favorite - helps with my knee problems). Since the store was pretty much dead, which is usually, I was bombarded with a worker who wanted to know if I wanted any help. Well, I knew what I was going for so I said "No." Of course he had to continue pressing me and asked what I was getting. I explained a women's multivitamin in which I had already picked out the GNC brand Active Woman Multivitamin, and some omega-3 supplements. He then proceeded to drag me over to show me these "very effective" omega supplements.
"So how are they effective?" I had to imply, not hesitating to add "Don't bullshit me, I am a nutrition student at the university down the street, so humor me."
He then proceeded to say that it had something to do with the fact that this involved medium chain amino acids for better energy and absorption as well as causing weight loss. Oh and how I should take 2 with every meal, along with 6 of the multivitamin a day, 2 with each snacks.

Ummmm....BULLSHIT!
1. How can fat cause you to lose fat?
2. Medium chain fatty acids a generally very intolerable...you want me to take 6 tablets a day, not to mention the bottle cost about 80 bucks. What the fuck kind of fish is this oil coming from? Dover sole and caviar? The only weight loss here is gonna be from diarrhea and vomiting. Luckily I am one of the few people who does not get this awful side effect.
3. I do not expect a worker at GNC to memorize the contents of every bottle of vitamins in the store. But please! Don't pretend that you know all of the dosages of every product in the store at the top of your head. If I took that much of the vitamin supplement a day, I would be much into the upper limits of many of the fat soluble vitamins...which is toxic.

He then proceeded to tell me he was also a nutrition major and graduated (God knows where because he failed to mention where) a couple years ago. I know the market is bad, but no wonder he is working at GNC. He didn't learn shit in school. Oh and taking one nutrition class and working at GNC doesn't really make you a "nutrition expert" as you so claim.

If a normal person went into the store and believed this information they have the potential to become very ill.

I could get into a whole tangent on how there are many people publishing inaccurate information all over the internet about what is suppose to be healthy when it comes to foods, but that would be just a bunch of boring information that you might not be all that interested in. So buyer beware! Read the back of the vitamin bottle, just because it is not a "drug" and is natural, does not mean there are not some adverse effects. Otherwise I do recommend the GNC multivitamin below...very affordable and take two a day and you are solid. Remember to take with a meal and a tall class of water.

Cheers and much love!

You guys want some cookies ...

Here they are Caramel Latte Crunch Cookies....

They are cut to sample size in this photo of course. The are nut and chocolate free, for all those allergic people out there.

If you ever care to make your own here is the recipe. They are delectable! I promise!
Ingredients
1 tbsp shortening
2 tbsp vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp light brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 package instant french vanilla pudding
3/4 cup whole wheat flour (can sub. all purpose)
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/8 cup liquid coffee mate (vanilla caramel flavor)
half bag crushed creme brulee flavored rice cakes (see photo)
1/4 chopped bulls eye candies

Directions
1. preheat oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit, and grease a cookie pan
2. Cream the sugar (for those who are not amazingly skilled and knowledgable cooks that means in a bowl combine sugars, shortening, egg, yogurt and vanilla, and beat in with a mix-master)
3. In another bowl combine flour, pudding mix, and baking soda. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the creamed ingredients. (while they continue to mix in the mix-master : ) )
4. Add coffee mate to the concoction
5. Add crushed rice cakes....these --->

6. Stir in chopped bulls eyes
7. Place like 12 cookies on the greased cookie sheet, cuz it makes 12 large cookies
8. Bake 12-15 mins.
9. Enjoy! Might I suggest with milk, chocolate milk, Coffee, Irish Cream, or Kahlua.

XOXO <3 Cheers!

So it begins...

Well, here I am, starting a blog. I am new at this so please be patient if I totally fuck it up. Hopefully my computer doesn't over heat and crash (like it has been) before I am done with this. Fingers crossed.

I got about 45 minutes before I have to leave for my experimental foods class. Yes, that is right, if you didn't already read my Bio, I am a nutrition student. And, no it is not all fun and games, this is my ONLY cooking class and it is not that simple my friends. I had to create my own recipes, and it has all this junk fake shit in it. By "fake shit" I mean splenda, splenda, and more splenda. Sorry but I am not a fan of the chemical replacement for natural sugar. How all these extra chemicals are suppose to be healthy is beyond me. Sure there is less calories and the cookie is diabetic friendly, but it just might cause cancer and the growth of an extra tit. Though I am sure the males out there wouldn't complain all too much about the later. Anyway, the cookie ended up being caramel latte flavored, since fat-free coffee sweetener is one of the ingredients to add actual taste. I was going for a more creme brulee flavor, but my resources were limited, and apparently creme brulee flavor is just too high class for a college setting. I am sure I could of achieved more of what I was going for with a type of alcohol added, but I did use alcohol in my last concoction in that class (Chardonnay Cream Sauce) and I don't want to seem too much like a lush. I do think a "cooking with alcohol" class should be added to the curriculum though. Maybe I will come back when I am 40 and teach it. The legal drinking age should be lowered by than, and marijuana legal??? Maybe there will be a hash cooking class then as well.

Ugg 40 mins. now. I really do not want to go battle the elements on my whole three min. walk to class. I think it has been raining non-stop for about four days now. I know they say April showers, but come on now!

So I am starting this new trend, no joke. Hear of microdermal piercings. Well if you have you might think I am completely covered in tats and have my nipples and cha-cha pierced, quite the contrary. Besides the typical slut belly button ring and the ears, I am clean. But the new slut (or hot, depends on the person) piercing is gonna be back dimple microdermals. Yes, this is hot shit. And if you can handle 2 mins. of agony, do it. Truly, it was more painful to watch my friend get them done, that to actually get them done yourself. Well these are my new pride and joy! My boyfriend thinks it is sexy shit, and they are perfect for swim suit  accessorizing. Mine are about 3 months old and healed real nicely.

Full body shot with the Neeniers! Plus my messy room yay! Not for pedophile masturbation purposes thanks!

Oh and the Neeniers! Real full name Martini (Tini). Is my bff from the Animal Kingdom. Sorry to all you cat haters out there. I do love the doggies too. And if you hate Animals, well then you are probably living a sad and depressing life, and I feel real sorry for you. Well, that is all for today. Talk to you laters!
Cheers!
